Nvidia has unveiled a $1 billion strategic investment in Nokia, acquiring a 2.9% stake through a directed share issue at €6.01 per share. The partnership will leverage Nvidia's AI chips to accelerate Nokia's 5G/6G network software while exploring integration with Nokia's data center solutions.

The announcement propelled Nokia shares up 20% as markets recognized the synergy between Nvidia's AI dominance and Nokia's infrastructure expertise. This marks Nvidia's latest MOVE in a series of strategic investments following recent deals with OpenAI and Intel.

Nokia's pivot toward data centers continues yielding results, with Q3 2025 sales growing 9% YoY. The timing coincides with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's GTC keynote, underscoring the company's aggressive expansion beyond traditional GPU markets.
